About the Author
James C. Mays is an award-winning automobile historian, author and broadcaster. An honourary employee of AMC Canada he is also a member of the Society of Automotive Historians.
The author is a graduate of Andrews University in Michigan and Concordian University in Montreal where he lives with his collection of movie and celebrity-owned AMC cars.
This is his twenty-sixth book and his third automotive history.

Best book about Nash/Rambler/AMC in Canada!

This is probably the most comprehensive history of the Nash/Rambler/AMC operations in Canada. It's arranged in a style that makes raw facts a little hard to dig up, but it's a much easier and enjoyable read than just raw data. It is written like a series of interviews with different people and families that were primary forces for the company, from the company secretary and a couple large dealers, to the president. There are plenty interesting facts laced through the stories. I didn't realize that from 64 on all the Canadian cars had white headliners instead of coordinating colors. Even the AMC president didn't notice when given a ride in one! Saved the Canadian plant lots of money not to stock multiple colors. I'm an AMC historian myself, and highly recommend this book. I used it to dig up facts about the AMC operations, that's why I mention facts being a little hard to dig up. Most would just enjoy reading the very interesting stories.
