About the Author
Tom Carson’s first teaching experience was teaching guitar as an undergraduate student studying electrical engineering. That experience helped him to realize that his true gift and passion are for teaching. He earned his MAT in mathematics at the University of South Carolina. In addition to teaching at Midlands Technical College, Columbia State Community College, and Franklin Classical School, Tom has served on the faculty council and has been a board member of the South Carolina Association of Developmental Educators (SCADE). Ever the teacher, Tom teaches outside the classroom by presenting at conferences such as NADE, AMATYC, and ICTCM on topics such as Combating Innumeracy, Writing in Mathematics, and Implementing a Study System.

Perfect For The Price

I rated this book at 5 stars because I am an independent student that cannot afford to buy books at full price. The price that I paid for this book was worth every penny. There were some students in my class that paid up to $130 for this book.
Note that this book is "A La Carte" Edition which means that it is not bound in book form but meant to be placed in a 3 ring binder. At first I wasn't sure how it would work out but I just bought a 1/2 inch binder at Walmart for under a buck and it worked out perfect. I also loved the fact that I could take pages out to travel with and not have to lug the whole book with me.
This book is perfect for any student that wants to save on buying books for school.

Nice book choice if you dont want to pay full price for your college books this book comes with all the necessary pages but without the hard cover which I dont mind at all I would highly recommend this book to anyone
