Rough draft with English, logic, and clarity errors

Pros:
- Questions listed by Chapter topic.
- Back and Forth between Questions and Solutions is easier to follow and not as bad as I expected.
- PMBOK references attached to answer/solutions have been correct and useful for further researching the questions.
- Questions seem to be good questions and relevant (just need the questions proofed and cleaned up)

Cons:
- Poor English on the vast majority of questions/answers
- Solutions/answers are often wrong, contradictory, or misleading. Seems as if more than 3 out of 5 solutions has something drastic enough that the PMBOK must be referenced to clarify or identify the truth.
Examples:
- Answer shows Solution for Question 541 shows letter "B" as answer and then states "Option C is the correct answer".
- Question 542 asks "...true regarding controlling risks?". Answer then states: "Option D is correct as option A and C pertain to controlling risks." (controlling risks was the question).
- If they had a quality (native English speaking) PMP proof read the questions most of the errors could be resolved easily and turn it into a high quality tool.

Conclusion:
Enjoying using it in spite of the difficulty wading through the faults of poor English and the appearance of it only being a 1st rough draft littered with errors. The PMBOK is enough to clarify the errors I've encountered. This is good to get me into the material for a restudy and thoroughly think through what the true PMBOK answer should be.

Fair Notice: I don't think I would pay $10 for this, but getting it free with KindleUnlimited I'm using it. If they proofed it and cleaned it up I would pay $20 for it.

About the Author
Valerie A. Brown AO, BSc MEd PhD is Director of the Local Sustainability Project, Fenner School of Environment and Society, Australian National University; and Emeritus Professor of Environmental Health, University of Western Sydney. She has held national advisory positions in public health, environmental management and higher education, and presented innovative programs in these fields in the Asia-Pacific, Canada and Europe. Valerie is the author of over 200 research papers and 12 books on linking social and environmental issues and social change, the most recent being Towards whole-of-community engagement: a toolkit of strategies 2004 (with Heather Aslin); Sustainability and health: supporting global integrity in public health Earthscan 2005 (with J. Grootjans, J. Ritchie, M. Townsend and G.Verrinder); Social learning and environmental management Earthscan 2005 (with M.Keen and R. Dyball) and Leonardo's vision. A guide to collective thinking and action SENSE 2008 John A. Harris is a university academic, outdoors educator, and former Head of School of Environmental Science, University of Canberra. He has over 35 years experience in ecological and social research, post-graduate supervision and undergraduate teaching. John was a pioneer in the establishment of the professional field of natural resource management in Australia. In particular, she conducted research into rural people's perceptions of climate change and adaptation; the negotiation of conflict over water resources in a time of unprecedented drought; and the social impacts of the drought on Australia's rural communities. Jacqueline is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the Research School of Social Sciences of the Australian National University. She is part of a leading transdisciplinary research team that is applying innovative approaches to engaging regional communities, local and state governments and a range of experts in deliberation about future climate change. She is co-author of a number of reports on her research and has presented papers on the findings at local, national and international conferences.

About the Author

Hiroyuki Kojima received his PhD in Economics from the Graduate School of Economics, Faculty of Economics, at the University of Tokyo. He has worked as a lecturer and is now an associate professor in the Faculty of Economics at Teikyo University in Tokyo, Japan. While well-regarded as an economist, he is also active as an essayist and has published a wide range of books on mathematics and economics at the fundamental, practical, and academic levels.

A muddle with a lot to be desired.

So, I have a fairly good background in higher Math, including a year of Calculus. I have been researching good math books for young people who are having problems are would benefit from a decent intro to the various upper level subjects before they become buried in equations. Concerning the Manga Guide, I find that a reader would greatly benefit from already having had at least a fair intro. to the Calculus in order to avoid becoming quickly swamped in otherwise meaningless equations. I found this book was created with good intentions but is rather muddled and skips a good deal of explanatory material. Difficult to follow if you are unable to fill in the gaps (again, requiring a background in the subject). I know Japanese and actually enjoy Manga but this simply isn't the answer to a potential student but more like a review (and not even a good review) of the subject. The book is not all together useless but I just don't think it accomplishes its objective. I tell you what: the best book of its kind is _Calculus Made Easy_, originally authored by Silvanus Thompson and edited by Martin Gardner. The book is over 250 pages but offers what I consider the best, most concise, detailed intro. to the Calculus I have been able discover. It offers a logical, step-for-step instruction accompanied by plenty of easy but instructive exercises. Anyhoo , that's my advice.

A newer perspective

This book does a good job of explaining core concepts in an interesting and much more friendly way than most textbooks. It doesn't go into the details as deeply as a dry textbook might, but it does a very good job of explaining what the equations are actual doing, from a real world (manga?) perspective, something that most textbooks ignore completely.

This book will likely help you if you are having conceptual hangups in your calculus class, but don't expect it to replace your text book, it simply doesn't provide that kind of bulk material.

Good Calculus Help for Teens

Purchased this book for a amime addicted teenager who is struggling in Calculus. We had tried other Calculus help books in the past, but she wasn't interested in them and they did not help. Since she is very interested in reading Manga (she chose the words anime addicted), this book captured her interest and helped to explain topics that were difficult for her to grasp. She has since raised her grade in the class.

The Best Biography of Khalid bin Walid (RA) in the English Language

When the top military leaders of history are discussed, Khalid bin Walid (ra) is rarely mentioned. This little known military genius fought and beat the two great superpowers of his time (Persian and Roman Empire), with a ragtag, part time army from the deserts of Arabia.

Khalid bin Walid (ra) victories speak volumes of what he accomplished. He was undefeated in 41 battles (100 if minor engagements are considered) against professional Persian and Roman armies. He was a man built for war, a military genius who had a sharp strategic mind, brilliant tactical skills and the strength and endurance to go up against any champion the enemy could throw at him in individual combat. Mr. Akram argues that Khalid bin Walid (ra) was probably the only general in history to possess all of these instruments of war in one man.

Mr. Akram's biography of Khalid bin Walid (ra) is broken into 4 parts. The first part of the biography is told through the lenses of the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). This is the only way the story could be told because Khalid (ra) life was interwoven with that of the Prophet (pbuh). This period covers Khalid (ra) youth to the end of the Prophetic mission.

After the passing of the Prophet (pbuh), Mr. Akram's focus on Khalid (ra) becomes sharper and he now takes center stage. This is where part 2 begins and covers the battles against the apostates that occurred over an 11 month period.

Part 3 and 4 of the biography is where Khalid (ra) and the Muslims face the professional armies of Persia and Rome. This covers the 12 month campaign against the Persians in Iraq and the 4 years against the Romans in Syria with the climax at the banks of the Yarmuk river where Khalid (ra) destroyed a massive 100 000 to 150 000 Roman army with only 40 000 Muslims.

Mr. Akram provides the context of all the battles that Khalid (ra) fought in. This includes the military situation in Arabia and the political situation in Medina to give the reader a context of what Khalid (ra) was up against and why his battles were so important for the new Muslim community.

The Sword of Allah is the best biography of Khalid bin Walid (ra) written in the English language. I highly recommend it.

About the author: The Sword of Allah carries weight because of the high degree of military expertise the author brings to the table. Agha Ibrahim Akram joined the British Indian army in 1942. He served in Burma during the World War II and served with the Pakistan army during the first 3 Indo-Pakistan wars. He taught military history at the Command and Staff College in Pakistan in 1963 as the Chief Instructor. Mr. Akram held the rank of Lieutenant-General at the time of his retirement in 1978. After his retirement, he served as Pakistan's Ambassador to Spain (source - Wikipedia). In order to write this book, he learned Arabic so he could read the original texts rather than interpretations by later scholars. Not only, he traveled to the majority of the battles fields that Khalid bin Walid (ra) fought in order to have a better appreciation of the battle tactics he deployed and the strategy he used.

Cautionary note: Due to Mr. Akram's writing style, there are very small parts of the book where Umar bin Al-Khattab (ra) comes out in a negative light. This was probably unintentional but the reader should be aware. This in no way takes away from the biography of Khalid bin Walid (ra) written by Mr. Akram.

"Sword of Allah: Khalid bin al-Waleed" was originally released in January 1979 (504 pgs) in hardback. Then it was revised and released as "Khalid bin al-Waleed: Sword of Allah" in February 2004 (458 pgs) in paperback by Maktabah Publishers in Birmingham, England. The author is: Lt. Gen. A. I. Akram, a Pakistani army officer who taught at the Pakistani Staff College in 1964, and who later traveled to Saudi Arabia and the Middle East to view the battlefields of the Muslim Prophet Mohammad and his best general: Khalid. Akram wrote this book in tribute to Khalid, whom be believed to be "the greatest military general in history", and who campaigned in the Middle East about 630-650 C.E. For his research he excluded both Muslim and Christian writers who lived and wrote after the Tenth Century; Akram believed they were merely rewriting the battle accounts of the earlier Muslim scholars, such as: Mohammad bin Ishaq. Akram's use of Arabic sources helped him to broaden the history of Mohammad's and Khalid's early battles. However, by excluding any "Western" scholars he avoided benefiting from their critical analysis in questioning the historical accuracy of some of the battlefield scenarios. Akram generally does not question the accuracy of the early Muslim biographers. However, as a professionally military-trained general, Akram occasionally rises above his fervent Islamic beliefs and questions some of the battlefield accounts. Akram doubts a few of the stories that anti-Muhammad enemy forces numbered over 100,000 - 200,000 during some battles, and Akram found it incongruous to believe that despite so many soldiers, only four or so deaths on either side resulted after several days of heavy "battle" between these large armies: who had shot the sky full of arrows at one another. Pertaining to the massacre of some 600 Jewish males who surrendered at the battle of Khaybar, Akram was so embarrassed by the obvious outright cold-blooded murder of these Jewish prisoners that he blithely skims over this shameful episode of the Prophet of Peace. Objectivity is not a strong attribute of Akram. Akram revised the final edition over five years, and it shows good attention to detail -- if the details can be believed. As he visited the early Muslim battlefields and studied them, Akram developed some 30 maps depicting the various battles. However, the maps are very generic and hypothetical (nothing like a modern detailed battle map), as nothing really remains of the battlefields themselves -- their having been buried in the shifting sands of time. This is a very good heavily-detailed book recounting Mohammad's and Khalid's battles -- from a not-too-critical Muslim perspective. Good companion books analyzing these battles with constructive criticism are: "War, Terror & Peace in the Qur'an and in Islam" by T.P. Schwartz-Barcott, and "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam" by Robert Spencer. Sadly, no index, but a helpful Table of Contents listing the battles.

Good Series

This was a great conclusion to the series. This book focuses mostly on Cole and Danielle. He's so classy and dark and mysterious. He has a painful past and is kind of a sadist, but not in a mean way or anything. It was nice to watch them get closer to each other.
The scenes with Malachi and Sean made me cry. I will never see those songs the same again. Beautiful.
I'm really glad Aiden and Justin got more time in this book. They've been my favorite characters. The chemistry between them is amazing and the build-up will kill me I'm sure. I'm looking forward to their book.
Unfortunately this book is shorter than the others, but it was fast paced and very sexy. Overall a very enjoyable series.

I loved this book, I was so sad to see the series end with this book. You have to love MFMMMMM to read this story and you must start from the first book. The author keeps you focused in this book with the way the words are written.

Danielle & her men face different battles in this story. They all must come together, help each other and make choices. You get to read about other characters too that they are friends with but most of all you see love and friendship. The chemistry and sex is hot and steamy

I really enjoyed the series. Great job to the author on another amazing series.

Lothos and Nelciana

We finally get a closer look at a couple of the gods; Lothos and Nelciana. This is a bit more of an action/adventure than a romance but it's still there in the background. I enjoyed watching Nelciana go from quiet and demure to a woman of substance. She still has fears, she still doubts herself and her abilities but she is unwilling to sit by while others face danger. Lothos was the most impressive to me. He is a bit emotionless at the beginning of the book. Almost to the point of being heartless. When he realizes that to gain Nelciana's heart he must be willing to open his own to her. He becomes a man who willingly sacrifices his ego for the love of Nel and his children.
